2019/20 Season Announcement!

HERE IT IS! This is the year I will finish my DMA at LSU (hopefully) and really start putting myself out there into the academic world!

That being said, I still have some really cool and new roles to take on this year!

Before getting to the operas, I have my second doctoral recital on September 5th at 7:30pm at the LSU School of Music Recital Hall. It is a varied program that involves some of my favorite people like soprano Olivia Yokers, tenor Kevin Harvey, and soprano Elana Gleason. Come on out and hear some fun music!

Beginning with LSU Opera, the collegiate premiere of Jake Heggie’s Two Remain runs on September 27th and 29th at the Shaver Theater at LSU. I am playing the role of Gad Beck, which is primarily a dialogue/acting role. I’m excited to dig into such a deep piece.

Following that I return to Portland Opera for Madama Butterfly singing one of the first roles I ever performed: Yamadori/Commissioner. Additionally while in Portland, I am teaming up with some cast members to present a recital on Eastern and Western influences on the opposite side. The show runs October 25th to November 2nd. https://www.portlandopera.org/production/madama-butterfly/

In the spring, I have a set of new roles and a debut with a new company. Starting off with performances on February 28th and March 1st, I am singing Dandini with Dayton Opera. This connection was all through the NFMC Young Artist competition in 2017, and I’m happy to return to where I won that competition. https://daytonperformingarts.org/program/la-cenerentola-cinderella/

Following Dayton, on March 27th and 29th, I tackle another new role, Rambaldo Fernandez in La rondine with Mobile Opera. It’s always amazing to come back to my hometown and especially in such a pivotal role. http://www.mobileopera.org/season/la-rondine/

To close the season, on April 25th, I take on Mercutio in Roméo et Juliette with Mississippi Opera. After last season in Jackson and Natchez, I am excited to get back and continue making some really great art! https://www.msopera.org/romeo-et-juliette-cast
