Early 2022 Updates

André begins his 4th semester at OSU and is teaching his first solo outing of Vocal Pedagogy. Fingers crossed!

Additional academic lectures and master classes will take place at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, Oklahoma City University, the University of Central Oklahoma, and Southeastern Louisiana University. The lectures will encompass Vocology and extended techniques topics. Thanks, Vicki Vargas, Barbara DeMaio, DMA, Johnnie Bankens, DMA, and Olivia Yokers!

Two distinct conferences are also on the docket for the Spring of 2022. First is the Sam Houston State University Art Song Festival online performance of Here, Bullet ( https://www.shsu.edu/academics/music/events-and-special-events/art-song-festival/ ). Second is a performance of Songs of Justice for the North American Saxophone Alliance National Conference in Stillwater, OK ( https://www.saxophonealliance.org/ ).

On the performance front, André will be covering Charlie in Three Decembers with Virginia Opera, singing Belcore with Brief Candle Productions, and singing the baritone solos in Vaughan Williams’ Dona nobis pacem and Rutter’s Mass of the Children with the Canterbury Voices. At OSU, he will be singing the solos in Dona nobis pacem for the OSU President’s Concert and giving a faculty recital.

The summer brings a delayed honeymoon overseas and a return to Interlochen Summer Arts Camp!

Hopefully, everyone has a somewhat normal semester!!!!
