2025 Moves

To say that being in a two academic job household in two states even when the flight is under 90 minutes is hard is an understatement. While that aspect was difficult, I have sung in a world premiere, made a symphony debut, made three company debuts, and taught a lot of wonderful students as well as some lectures (that include a fair amount of storytelling).

It’s been a wonderful time at Emory, and I have nothing but love for my students, colleagues, and the city (minus traffic). All that being said, I have accepted a position to start in the fall at Florida State University. Fun fact: I went to their high school choir and voice camp when I was a junior in high school. I applied there for my undergrad and masters but life had me shifting to other places. It is funny how things work out in the end.

So now Olivia is at Stetson and I am at FSU, and we are but a drive away! If you’re looking to join a community of musicians for an undergraduate degree or graduate degree in music, I know a place that is ready to help you become the most unique and proficient singer and/or educator that you can be (it’s Florida State)!
